Two year course
at North Hanover Street Campus
This course is designed to provide an in-depth insight into the roles, responsibilities and duties performed by Architectural Technicians in the Building Industry. It also develops an increased knowledge of architectural design, construction techniques, building materials, building services, CAD and architectural procedures.
Year 1:
- Construction Technology: Substructure
- Site Administration
- Architectural Design, Sketching and Drawing
- Structural Mechanics
- Construction Materials and Specification
- Architectural Procedures and Design
Year 2:
- Standard Forms of Construction Contracts
- Construction Technology: Industrial / Commercial Superstructure
- CAD: 2D
- HNC Architectural Technology: Graded Unit 1
- Health and Safety in Construction
- Design of Building Structures
Dates
One day per week over two years -
1st Year: 23rd Aug 10 – 30th May 11 (Mon)
2nd Year: 27th Aug 10 – 3rd June 11 (Fri)
Year 1 Enrolement Dates
Monday 16th or Wednesday 18th August 2010 between 10.00am - 12.00pm or 2.00pm - 4.00pm in room 207.

Entry Requirements
Entry is open to any person who can demonstrate by formal qualification or otherwise, a reasonable expectation of successful completion of the chosen course of unit(s). Admission to 1st year will be open to any applicant who has the following:
(a) A NQ in Building or equivalent and / or
(b) Relevant work experience as evidence of ability and / or
(c) Is employed in a relevant job function in industry
