Glasgow Metropolitan College was officially launched on 7th February 2005. It was formed by the merger of Glasgow College of Building & Printing and Glasgow College of Food Technology.
Glasgow College of Building & Printing was created in 1972 and had a presence on the current site since 1927. Glasgow College of Food Technology was created in 1974.
Both Colleges had a proud history and excellent reputation for the provision of courses, particularly for the food, hospitality, tourism, construction and the creative industries.
The merger and creation of Glasgow Metropolitan has ensured the student experience is continuously enhanced with investment in new facilities, services and courses.
