Do you need help with your English?
The Support for Learning Division offers assistance with English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL) in two main ways:
1:1 Support
If you are studying on a course at Glasgow Met you can receive 1:1 language support from Support for Learning – your course tutor can refer you.
or
Dedicated ESOL Courses
Alternatively you can take one of two dedicated ESOL courses:
ESOL (ABC) – A complete beginners ESOL literacy programme. This course is aimed at students who have literacy difficulties (for example, do not read and write in their own language or English). This course runs from August to June. Spaces are limited. Applications should be made to Maggie Thomson ext 4391
ESOL Media – a short 10 week course for women which runs three times per year, improving basic language skills through media. Start dates September, February and April. Applications should be made to Maggie Thomson ext 4391
