Q: I have problems with my spelling. What help can I get?
A: Staff can give you hints on how to improve your spelling.


Q: I think I might be dyslexic, can you help?
A: The Extended Learning Support (ELS) Department can help with individual support, while the Adult Literacy & Numeracy department (ALN) can give support within your class.


Q: I don’t want people to know I have a problem with reading and writing.  How can I keep it a secret?

A: Support within the class is given to a number of students, so no one should feel uncomfortable. You can get individual support from the Extended Learning Support department if that is needed.


Q: I’m scared of numbers.  What can you do to help me?

A: ALN support uses a range of different methods to teach numbers, so that they are not scary, and may even be fun!


Q: I’m on an advanced level course, can I still get help?
A: Come and talk to us, and we will see what we can arrange.


Q: I have a friend who is not at college, but needs help with reading, writing and number.  Where can they get help?
