Springburn Academy pupil Chris Anderson has stormed into the national final of Future Chef 2010 after impressing judges at the regional final held in Glasgow Metropolitan College on 20th January.
Competing against 9 other pupils from schools around Scotland, Chris prepared a mouthwatering main course and dessert, after receiving expert mentoring at the college by chef Kenneth Hett.
Chris attends the college every Tuesday morning for the Skills for Work in Hospitality Course with Aileen McMonagle and Sharon Morgan and is proving to be a star of the future, already being awarded top grades in the Int 1 and Int 2 Practical Cookery Exam and a top prize winner in the Culinary Excellence Programme last year.
We all wish Chris the best of luck for the national final which will be held on 22nd March 2010 at Westminister Kingsway College in London.
