Glasgow Metropolitan College is committed to enhance the learner experience through both learner representation and participation of learners in their own learning process as well as the wider college community.
The college, working in partnership with the learners and the Student Union, provides a range of discussion fora for learners to engage in dialogue about their own learning. Learners have the opportunity to represent views and feedback about their learning experience and that of their peers at Course, Division, School and College levels.
The views of learners and their input on relevant college issues is highly valued at Glasgow Metropolitan College, and a wide range of mechanisms are in place to informally and formally engage in feedback with and from learners. These processes help the college to make improvements at course programme, Division, School and whole college level, and are a corner stone of the college’s quality culture.
The diagrams below illustrate some of the structures in place for learner representation and engagement in learning at Glasgow Metropolitan College.
