Applying to the Met

To be accepted on our full-time academic courses including HNC and HND courses, you need in general:

  • A good standard of English e.g. IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 547(paper based), 210(computer based)
  • Senior secondary school leaving qualifications
  • Aged 18+
  • A valid passport (if you can, please send us a copy of it with your application)

Before making your application, please make sure that:

  • You know which courses you are applying for, remember you can apply for up to 3 courses in your application;
  • You are clear about the entry requirements on the courses, such as IELTS;
  • You have copies of your previous education records ready, remember to only send your most up to date education records;
  • You have a reference or recommendation relevant to your application from your work place if you have been working in the past.

Once you have prepared for the above, simply follow the steps below to make your application:

  1. Fill in the application form and send to us with the other background information as mentioned above;
  2. If you meet the entry requirements you will receive an offer letter and instructions on how to pay your deposit;
  3. Confirm your acceptance of the offer as soon as you receive it and make arrangements for the deposit payment;
  4. Book your accommodation with us;
  5. Apply for a student visa through the British Embassy or High Commission Office;
  6. Inform us of arrival details and indicate if you require a free airport pick-up service;
  7. Enrol at college and join the course induction a week before your coursen is due to start.

Please be aware that your application may be delayed if you don’t provide all the documents required.

Please also note that your visa application will be delayed if you don’t confirm your acceptance to the college in time.

Finally, make sure you send your application to the right address, paying the full postage and keeping a receipt of the postage.  Your application should be sent to:
