Terms and Conditions

The College is proud of its track record in maintaining positive employee relations and is fully committed to maintaining positive communication on the development of mutually beneficial terms and condition of employment through a collective bargaining process.

The College recognises two trade unions to represent staff in this process, these being UNISON for Support Staff and the Educational Institute of Scotland (Further Education Lecturers Association) for Academic /  Lecturing Staff.

Both collective bargaining and staff consultation takes place via a number of formally established committees.

As with College policies, the nature and detail of the terms and conditions of employment are periodically reviewed to ensure that they continue to meet the needs of staff, the College and of course relevant employment legislation.  Links to extracts of some of the key terms and conditions, applicable to various staff groups, are provided below.  All new employees are issued with detailed written statement of particulars and terms and conditions of employment prior to taking up employment.
